Philabundance "Fresh for All" Program, located at Abundant Life Fellowship, 4151 Route 130 South, Edgewater Park, NJ 08010  Fresh produce given out on Tuesdays between 1:30 - 2:30 PM.

Burlington County Heater Replacement Program - Homeowners whose household income is at or below HUD's very low income limit may be eligible for grants of up to $ 5,000. to replace existing heating systems. Senior citizens, handicapped or disabled homeowners at or below HUD's low income limit may also apply. If your heater is less than 68% efficient, more than 25 years old, or has been red-tagged by PSE&G, you may be eligible for assistance. This program is sponsored by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders with funding provided through the Community Development Block Grant Program. The New Jersey Citizen Action Oil Group is a project of New Jersey Citizen Action, the state's largest independent watchdog coalition. Formed in 1983 to provide heating oil consumers with an alternative to the high cost of heating oil, the group uses group buying power to negotiate discount prices for members. Need assistance with energy bills? NJ lifeline helps with gas & electric bills for disabled or senior homeowners & renters with limited incomes. Call 1-800-792-9745 for more information.

NJ Shares helps with gas and electric bills for people facing a temporary financial crisis. Call 1-866-657-4273 for more information.

New Jersey Comfort Partners helps low income households lower their gas and electric bills through energy education, installing of energy efficient measures, and repair or replacement of heating and cooling equipment. Contact 1-888-773-8326 for information.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)  is a program that helps you pay your heating costs. Applications are accepted from November 1 to March 31. Contact 1-800-510-3102.

The Universal Service Fund (USF) is a New Jersey program to help make energy bills affordable for low income customers. Applications are accepted all year. for information, contact: 1-866-240-1347.

You can apply to both USF & LIHEAP with one application. You may be eligible for both programs. If you sign up between Nov 1 & March 31, you will be applying for both LIHEAP & USF. During the rest of the year, you can only sign up for USF. To find out where you can get and file an application, contact 1-800-510-3102. You can also get applications from the website of: www.energyassistance.nj.gov .

Burlington County Community Action Program is a private, non-profit social service agency which serves the low income population of Burlington County. They offer many services & programs, including Head Start, Toddler & daycare, client advocacy with utility companies, landlords, mortgage companies & other agencies. Servicios Latinos de Burlington County is a non-profit organization serving the Hispanic population of Burlington County. Assistance in translation, English as a second language, citizenship courses, education, employment, housing, transportation, health and other services are provided.
